このプロジェクトは、提供された映像からコラージュを作成するというものだったので、物語性をもった映像編集作品をつくろうとおもいました。私たちSTFからの「小値賀についてどんなことを紹介したいですか」という問いかけを元に、小値賀の人々が好きに動画を撮影し、STFがそれらを編集し作品に仕上げました。

まず、コラージュ作品に物語性をもたせるため、私たちが伝えたい思いや考えを書き出していきました。そしてこれらの思いや考えそれぞれにつきひとつの映像を作成しました。各映像の長さは1分50秒です。

しかし、この映像を各々別々に見せても、感動が呼び起こされるようなものにはなりませんでした。思いや考えはそれぞれ個々のものではなく、むしろすべて本質的なところで関連していたからです。そのため結果としては、各映像をモザイク模様のように組み合わせることにしました。

さらに、素材となった映像からの音声とサンプルミュージックを組み合わせて、シンプルな音の繰り返しをつくり挿入しました。この音により、素材映像に対する私たちなりのアンサーを強調しています。

As the project was to create a collage from submitted videos, it would be necessary to create a montage of the videos to be able to tell a story. In other words, we had to assemble a series of videos that are for the most part unrelated excpet for the fact that they are all taken by people in Ojika, and are reactions to the question "What do you want to show of Ojika".

In order to do this, we wanted to create the effect of having a story. For this reason we had written out a series of thoughts that we wanted to convey. For each one of these thoughts we created a single video. Each video is 1 minute and 50 seconds long.

However, showing these videos seperately did not evoke a strong enough feeling or emotive response. Each thought is in essence not individual, but rather relate to the others. For this reason we combine them together into a mosaic.

In addition, we created a simple repeated sound of both the audio from the videos and a simple composition. This was done to emphasize that this is our interpretation of the provided material.
